   Kjotve the Cruel kills Eivor's parents at a peace gathering. Seventeen years later she takes his head — and discovers vengeance was the shallow end of her saga.

2. 02The gift from Constantinople

   Sigurd comes home with two Hidden Ones and a hidden blade. Eivor wears it openly on her forearm — a Viking's answer to a creed of shadows.

3. 03Ravensthorpe

   In Mercia the Raven Clan plants a settlement and Eivor starts the real campaign: alliance by alliance, shire by shire, an England worth staying for.

4. 04The ledger of names

   Hytham's list of the Order of the Ancients — Wardens of Wealth, Faith, War — turns the raiding season into a quiet, methodical hunt.

5. 05Fulke's theology

   The zealot takes Sigurd apart looking for the god inside him. What Eivor does to get her brother back costs more than any alliance.

6. 06Havi's dreams

   Asgard is not metaphor. The Isu wrote themselves into human bloodlines at the end of the world — Eivor is Odin's echo, Sigurd is Tyr's, and Basim is Loki's.

7. 07The wolf under the tree

   Basim — Loki — remembers his son Fenrir, and what Odin did to him. His revenge on Eivor ends with him trapped in Yggdrasil's simulation, patient as ever.

8. 08Aelfred's confession

   The Order's Grand Maegester was the King of Wessex all along — and he gutted his own inheritance to found a holier Order in its place. The Templars begin as an act of conscience.

9. 09The Grey

   Layla enters Yggdrasil with the Staff, saves the world's magnetism math, and stays behind with the Reader — while Basim steps out of the tree into her century.
