Story beats · 8

  1. 01The contract on the Wolf

A lucrative job to kill 'the Wolf of Sparta' pulls Kassandra off Kephallonia — and face to face with Nikolaos, the father who dropped her from Mount Taygetos.

  2. 02The family broken on the mountain

The oracle's decree, the botched ritual, the fall: the wound the whole game is built around, told in fragments as Kassandra retraces it.

  3. 03Athens under Perikles

In the besieged city Kassandra finds patrons and friends — Perikles, Aspasia, Sokrates, Herodotos — and watches the plague hollow the golden age out.

  4. 04Deimos

The Cult's champion is revealed as the lost sibling, raised on the mountain's other lesson: that fear, not love, is what family owes the world.

  5. 05Cutting down the Cult

Branch by branch — Eyes, Heralds, Silver Vein, Peloponnesian League — Kassandra unmasks the conspiracy profiteering off the war she keeps being paid to fight.
