William Miles

Leader of the modern Assassins through their leanest decades, William ran the hidden compound where Desmond was born and drilled — a father whose parenting and whose Mentorship were the same unforgiving thing. The son ran; the father kept the war alive with cells, safehouses and stubbornness while Abstergo industrialized. He buried Desmond after the Temple, recruited Layla over his own misgivings, and has spent the years since watching everyone he sends into the Animus come back changed or not at all.
