Raised by the Templar Grand Master his own father's Order couldn't save, Arno joins the Assassins to solve his foster father's murder — and finds the killer inside the Templars themselves.
Story beats · 8
01Versailles, twice orphaned
A father murdered in a palace; a foster father murdered at an initiation. Arno's childhood is bracketed by the same silhouette he never sees clearly.
02The Bastille opens
Framed for De la Serre's murder, Arno learns the blade from Bellec in prison — and exits through revolution itself on July 14, 1789.
03The candlelit Brotherhood
Mirabeau's Assassins induct Arno in the crypts beneath Paris. The murder becomes his probation: find the killer, and the killer's cause.
04Élise, on the other side
De la Serre's daughter hunts the same men with a Templar's tools. The romance works because neither will convert — and both know it.
