A conspiracy blogger who got too close to Abstergo and was extracted by the Brotherhood, Shaun became its institutional memory: the database entries, the acid commentary, the man who has read everything and forgiven nothing. He served through the Desmond years, ran intelligence from a Montreal coffee cart during the Abstergo Entertainment era, and walked into the Shroud vault under Buckingham Palace armed mostly with a taser and opinions. His grief for Desmond, expressed entirely through deflection, is some of the series' best quiet writing.
