Cesare Borgia
The Order's appetite unchained
The Order
Rodrigo's son had no patience for his father's long game of conclaves and shadows — Cesare wanted Italy by cannon, openly, now. As Captain General of the papal armies he sacked Monteriggioni, killed Mario Auditore, seized the Apple, and ruled Rome through a machine of towers, taxes and terror. He is the counter-Ezio: where the Assassin spent Brotherhood learning that power must be built and shared, Cesare embodied the belief that it need only be taken. Starved of money, army and executioner by Ezio's methodical campaign, he finally destroyed the one resource he couldn't replace: his father's protection.
