Yasuke

The historical Yasuke arrived in Japan with Jesuit ships and ended up in Oda Nobunaga's service — weighed, gifted armor, granted a sword by the unifier himself. Shadows takes that astonishing fact and builds its second protagonist from it: a man who crossed the world in other people's holds and found, in the strangest place, something like standing. Where Naoe moves through Japan as a shadow, Yasuke walks through the front gate; the game's structure is their argument — honor against survival, weight against silence — played by hand. His outsider's eye is the story's clearest lens on an era tearing itself apart.
